Can I switch my black iPhone 5 for a white one?
I bought a black iPhone 5 early October. Well I noticed it has connection problems where my phone will randomly go to "No Service" at least 2-3x a day. It is frustrating! Also I noticed today that my camera lens has a small dust particle behind it and it shows in all my pictures. I cleaned off the lens as well as I could but it is still there. My plan is to take the iPhone to an Apple Store and show them these issues, and most likely they will grab a new phone from the back and exchange it. My question is if they go in the back to grab another, could I ask before hand if I can keep the same model and 16gb but change the color to white? It seems reasonable. It's just a color right?
You would probs get a new phone, as its a hardware fault which can't be fixed So they would replace it. About the colour I don't think they would Apple are strict as you brought black so you get that colour and that memory. It's like I have an
iPhone 4 when I got a replacement if I asked for an iPhone 5 instead they would defo not give me one.
So I would think they wouldn't as they are just replacing what you had before they could get suspicious also wondering why you want another colour so if you think I'm wrong best thing to do is email or ring them and ask them
That way they don't know who you are and also you don't have to feel embarrassed on the day!

No you will get the same model iPhone back only way you will get a white one is if there are no more blacks in stock
- Switch iPhone 5 From White to Black? I reserved a white iPhone 5 from Fido, and it's been two and a half weeks since I placed the reservation. Within those weeks I've basically talked myself out of wanting a white iPhone and now I want the black one! I'm not sure if they can swap it for the black one or not, but I'm still 2000 in line… Should I place a new order or what? I feel like its going to take forever both ways so I should place an order with the colour I want!
