Can I switch my sim card from my nokia lumia 900 to a iphone 4s?

I have an AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 that I currently use and I also have a Iphone 4s that used to be my mothers and was also an at&t phone but she got an Iphone 5 and now the iphone 4s is lying around. Can I just simply switch my sim card from the Nokia Lumia 900 to the Iphone 4s without any penalties or repurcussions from AT&T.
