Can I switch numbers on Verizon?
My mom just got a Samsung Galaxy s4 but she wants to switch with me ( I have an iPhone 4S) because it is easier to use for her. So I was wondering if I could change my number with hers. So my number will be on the galaxy and her number on my iPhone. Is it possible? Hope that makes sense.
Yes, the change is possible, and in your case, what is done to effect the change is known as an "ESN swap" meaning that phones are exchanged between lines of service on a single account.
If the service rep you are working with knows what they are doing, barring delays dealing with Verizon support, an ESN swap only takes about 10-15 minutes.
Back when I used to work as a cell phone sales rep for Wal-Mart (before they fired me for having to have a tumor removed at the local Veteran's Hospital), I must have done at least a hundred different ESN swaps for Verizon customers.
- Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
- I want to switch my old Verizon phone to a Verizon iPhone. How would I do that? My old phone is one if the small slide phones that red and black and the screen broke. I want to switch it to an iPhone I got from a friend. How do I do this?
- How to switch the numbers of an iPhone 5 on AT&T? My phone got destroyed and lost. There's no hope of getting it back. So my mother got me a replacement iPhone 5 for Xmas, but somehow activated it on HER number, not mine. So I basically have a copy of her phone. What should I do?
- How to switch numbers on the same plan for verizon? Iphone5? I have a family plan with verizon. Just upgraded to the iphone 5, and my mom wants it. How come it won't let me switch phones? Would i need a new sim card that is linked to my mom's number?
