No. A bad ESN means that the phones identification number has been blocked from ever being activated again.
A bad ESN means that the phone has been reported stolen. Or the phone was blocked for non payment. Once the phone is blocked for non payment, the cost to pay the over due bill is usually more than the phone is worth.
