Can i unlock my iphone 4 sprint to another carrier?

The easiest and safest way to unlock your iPhone from Sprint is to get it properly factory unlocked by one of the big online vendors like http://www.cellfservices.com as a) it is legal, b) won't void your warranty and c) will last even if you upgrade iOS.
Jailbreaking on the other hand doesn't have those advantages and you are risking to permanently damage/brick your phone.
