Can I unlock my iPhone to go with a different company?

I have an iPhone 4S and there's a remaining balance on it, but due to my dad not paying the bill the phone has been inactive for months. Because I'm eighteen and have a job i was wondering if it is possible, and legal, to unlock my phone to go with a different provider and actually have it working. I'd also prefer not to jailbreak my phone!

Nope.

Your phone's been blacklisted due to non-bill payment. Until that's resolved, it won't work on any carrier (well, maybe somewhere on another continent)

  • Will my iPhone factory reset if I put a different company SIM card in it to see if it works I got a sprint iPhone 5c and used it on the boost mobile network. Now I got a new phone because I hated the boost network and switched over to metro pcs. A couple days ago I put the metro pcs sim card in the iPhone and it went to the opening screen like it reset everything. So I took it out and just put the boost sim card back in it and it went back to normal. If I put the metro pcs sim card in the iPhone will it reset everything because I don't want to lose everything on my iPhone.
  • Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?

  • How to have different web pages for different platforms? I was wondering how to set the default page for a website to be different for desktop and mobile. For example if a pc accesses my website, it goes to indexD.html, and if it's an iphone it goes to indexM.html. I can create and modify.htaccess files if that helps.
