Can I upload a private app for me to use on IOS for free?

I want to make an app only for me and use it on my iPhone. Can I do this for free? Or will I have to pay for something to Apple?

If I remember correctly, Apple lets you develop and publish apps to your device free of charge. In the past, you had to pay $99/year for an Apple developer membership. This allowed you to run the app on your device.

However, I believe you can do that without paying the yearly fee.

Highly doubt thats an option. Its called the App Store for a reason. You could probably make the app & install it & use it without publishing it though. This is how app developers do it but of course in their case the point is to publish it & profit from it.

  • Private browsing in iOS 5 update for iPod, iPhone, iPad? Apparently it means it won't save to the history. But I want to know if it will save to the computer or router my iPod's Internet comes from. For example, if I went to www.9gag.com, would it show up on the router or "master computer"?
