Can I use a hairdryer to separate the glass from an iPhone screen?
My iPhone 5 is broken and I have a bought a full kit that is needed to replace the glass. I've seen all the videos on youtube using a heat gun to separate the broken glass from the LCD as it is glued. My question is can i use the hairdryer to heat the glue so the broken glass separates from the LCD and i can glue the new glass on to it.
Give it a shot. Your hair dryer may not be hot enough, but you'll find that out if…
peel 'n stick vinyl floor tile has similar recommendation [use heat gun to loosen the adhesive so you can remove to replace single tiles] and a hot hair dryer works just fine. Even better if you can use a second hair dryer on an extension cord from another room… More heat if you need it. [two hair dryers on same outlet/circuit probably will pop the circuit breaker.]
Yes it is the same but will take longer to get warm enough

Yeah on high setting. Its gonna take a few minutes make sure you keep it moving around the broken screen to heat it evenly to help in removing it from the outer case its just going to take longer to do it and make sure no residual glue from the old one is left on the lcd and that its clean before installing the new one
Can I use a iron to heat the glue to remove the glass from the lcd
- Will a tempered glass screen protector prevent screen from cracking? What does a tempered glass screen protector do really? Their being sold on ebay and I need something that will help preventing my iphone 5s from cracking besides a case.

- I broke my iphone 5 glass, can I just buy new glass cover for it? My girl recently dropped her iPhone 5 and the glass is cracked on the front. The touchscreen still works great, but the cracked glass is obviously very annoying and will undoubtedly get worse with time. Can I just replace it with a generic outer glass or do I also have to replace the digitizer touch function when I replace the glass on it?
- Do I have to remove a separate screen protector with a LifeProof Case? I have a LifeProof iPhone 4s case, and I have used it before, but I always have to remove my screen protector that I already have on my iPhone. I don't want to have to remove a new screen protector every time I want to use my LifeProof case. Is it really necessary to remove my separate iPhone screen protector in order to use my LifeProof case?
