Can i use an at&t iphone on Metro Pcs?
I'm thinking about buying an At&t Iphone 4s from Amazon and I just wanted to ask how i would be able to get it to work with Metro. I don't really want to buy one unlocked already they are just TOO expensive. Do I just take it there or do I have to unlock it myself and then take it there? Does it even have to be unlocked because they released a statement saying that At&t Iphones can work on their network. If anyone has done this please let me know what any pros and cons you have experienced.
Well, you'll still have to get it unlocked. ATT uses GSM signals. Double verify but Metro uses CDMA. So if it's not unlocked or you don't unlock it, you can't use it on another network. Same goes for Verizon or Sprint 4s and they're CDMA already. They are locked to that carrier. See below and think about it. Best luck.
AT&T iPhone must be unlocked before you can use it on MetroPCS. Unlocked iPhone 4S are not necessarily expensive but when you get the AT&T phone unlocked, the price is come to same. So if you need iPhone 4S for MetroPCS cheaper than retail, mail me.
Any iphone under 5s is obsolete most if not all carriers won't put them on. I have tracphone and they would not connect my iphone 5 they said only 5s and up.
