Can i use an iphone 4s as an ipod?

I wanted to buy a new iphone 4s but sense i was not eligible for an upgrade i was going to use my brothers line instead. I was thinking about buying it with a contract and the $30 that you have to pay for the internet but then after a month i was going to cut the data plan. I was also wondering sense the iphone 4s uses a micro sim card will my brother still be able to use his old sim in his phone and will it still work. Also i was thinking about buying one of these micros sim adapters if his old sim card didn't work http://www.amazon.com/...B003THJQVU

AT&T, Verizon, etc.won't let you have an iPhone *without* a data plan. If you try to cut the data plan, you can't do that - all you can do instead is cancel the contract and pay a big early termination fee (maybe $500+).

As far as the SIM card question, I guess if you have a micro SIM card and you want to install it in a phone that uses a regular SIM card, then yes, you do need an adapter.

You've gotta get a data plan and yes you can use an iphone 4s as an ipod

  • Should I buy an ipod touch 5th gen.or buy an iphone 5 and use it as an ipod? I was wondering what would be better to have an ipod or to have an iphone 5 and use it as an ipod, but is it worth spending more money for the iphone 5 to use as an ipod. I currently have an ipod touch 4g, o and by the way i would like either the ipod 5g in 64gb or the iphone 5 in 64gb.
  • Is there an iPod 5 case that makes the iPod look like an iPhone? I hate the curvy shape of the iPod touch. I prefer the boxy iPhone shape. Also, it would be cool if my iPod looked like an iPhone. Is there a case that does this? Where can I get one?
  • IPhone 5 vs iPod Touch 5 (latest iPod touch)? Which is more worth it? I had the iPod touch 4 and I really loved it! But I sold it a few months ago to save up for an iPhone but now that the iPhone 5 is here and there's a new iPod touch, I'm confused. Which one should I get? For the android fans out there, don't recommend me to buy android, I'm sick of it.
  • How to use Ipod/Iphone on a 2011 BMW 535i with No ipod support (only AUX, USB)? I own a 2011 BMW 5 series 535i With loads of options but I don't think It has iDrive support or something? It only has an USB jack and an AUX jack. It can play my Ipod through usb but it doesn't read it like itunes so i can't see my playlists or songs, it reads it as a storage device not an mp3 player. What do I do? What do I need to get for it to play my ipod correctly? Possibly the cheapest alterative first haha
