Can i use an iphone as a hub?

I have an ipad and a regular computer in my home. I use a bt hub to connect to the internet. If i buy an iphone could i use this instead of bt to get on my internet? If i can. Is it worth it? Is it just as fast etc. Or am i better off sticking with my bt hub?

any help would be so much appreciated

No, the magical wizard that lives inside all apple would not be pleased!

You could create a wi-fi signal off your phone but it uses up a lot of data (loads), depending on your network it could be rubbish though and you will more than likely need 'all you can eat data'.
Its called a personal hotspot, look into it.

Like someone else mentioned you could use your iphone/ipad to setup a local hotspot, but to do this you need to able to access the internet already. You could do this but here's why you shouldn't.

1. As your iPhone/iPad needs to be connected to the internet already, that means you will probably be using your phone's mobile data. This as far as I know is capped at a certain point by all mobile carriers and providers. So even if you did setup for device as a local hotspot for other devices to connect to, you'd probably use up your mobile data allowance in a few hours if not less, depending on what you do when connected. This could lead to huge bills. You'd also need to keep your ipad/iphone charged and on whenever you wanted to use it to connect to the internet.

2. You could setup your iphone/ipad to connect to the internet via your hub and setup a local hotspot that way, but this kind of defeats the purpose of what you want.

Long story short, keep using your hub.
