Can i use an unlocked iPhone 5 on verizon without data plan?
I have a phone with verizon service (it's a flip phone with no internet services)
I'm soon getting a unlocked iphone and was wondering if i can use the plan i'm using now for the phone
so for ex. If i can use it for the exact same purposes such as calling and texting without Wi-Fi but not need for internet unless i'm in a Wi-Fi zone.
You can't use a smartphone without data on Verizon. It's policy.

First of all, unlocked phones won't work on Verizon unless it has CDMA capability. Verizon doesn't use SIM cards. So get a Verizon iPhone 5 or any CDMA iPhone 5 that will work on Verizon. Secondly, data plan is very much mandatory for smartphones. You activate a smartphone on your plan, the data plan gets imposed automatically on your account. So you've to get a data plan. Go prepaid if you don't want to pay loads of money. If you need iPhone 5 for Verizon cheaper than retail, mail me.
