Can I use toothpaste to fix a scratch on an iPhone?
So I managed to scratch my iPhone and I don't know how. I got worried and looked up how to fix it. I found out that putting toothpaste on something then rubbing it over the scratch and cleaning it off should fix it. Many people said it worked but some stressed that it would ruin the oleophobic coating. I don't know what that is. Will toothpaste have any negative effects on my phone and make it worse. I just want the scratch gone!
Wow, there really is something for everything on Google isn't there? Unfortunately, that won't work. The scratches are there, they can't just wipe off with anything… Where is the scratch, on the screen or the body? If the body, use a case. If the screen… Well is it really even that noticeable when it's on? You can replace the screen if it's really an issue, but please no toothpaste. You don't want that to get into your phone.
- Will the back of my iPhone scratch if I don't use a casing? I've just got a new iPhone, and I don't want to get the back all scratched. I was wondering of it is worth getting a back case, and if I don't, how long before the back will start scratching if I don't have a casing?
