Yes. Just make sure to not damage the home button. Touch ID and the logic board are extremely integrated, so if you damage the home button, your touch ID will never work again.
Although, I believe that if you take it to Apple, they'll be able to help with the TouchID thing. Just note: it's probably going to be a fairly expensive fix $200+

A shop would charge rather more to cover the time taken to do the work.
