Can my iPhone be used as an iPod?
Considering switching to the galaxy s 3 but i wasn't sure if I would still be able to use my iPhone for simple things like music game etc. I have AT&T if that makes a difference.
Yes. Just stop the contract and use Wi-Fi. They call it an iPod touch.

An iPhone is basically all things considered an iPod touch, just with cellular service.iPhones can play all sorts of games, listen to music, and watch videos off of youtube or downloaded. If you take away AT&T service on it, it still has Wi-Fi and you can still use it as an ipod. Haven't you ever tried to use your iphone?
