Can my old iPhone 6 that has 16GB do a time-lapse all day?
Can my old iPhone 6 that has 16GB do a time-lapse all day?
That depends on whether the iPhone 6's battery can last all day being in photo mode, the resolution of the captured images (HDR or non-HDR?) and the number of images captured. And we assume the 16 GB is available to use… Not an iPhone that was built with 16 GB has a bunch of apps and other photos or music so there's only 1 GB available for this time lapse project…
For example, if 1 image (JPEG) is 3 MB, and "all day" = 24 hours
24 hours x 60 minutes in an hour = 1,440 minutes
If an image is captured once each minute, then 3MB x 1,440 = 4,320 MB or a little over 4 GB.
If an image is captured every 6 seconds, then there won't be enough room.
So… You provide some details and maybe we can provide a better guess.
- Will Apple Retail Stores refill stock one day after launch day? If in any way an Apple Retail store runs out of stock after launch day of the new iPhone 6, is there any chance that by the next day there will be new stock already again? Or does sold out mean = sold out for a few weeks.
- Why is my Iphone not holding a charge after it has been on the charger all day? It tays on while it is on the charger but after disconnection it turns off. I did drop it in water months ago so I know this contributed but is it able to continue to hold a charge ever.
- Is time lapse only available for the iPhone 5S? Or is it also for the (discontinued) iPhone 5? There are many videos around the web about time lapse in iOS 8, but they only seem to be showcasing the 5S, I want to know if it will be for the 5 too.
- Iphone has been on charge all day and hasn't turned on? Its showing the icon it is charging but hasn't turned on. Can anyone give me idea on what to do or what could be the problem?
