Can't connect my iPhone to Wi-Fi at work when I could last week?

Basically when I'm at work I take the Wi-Fi adapter that plugs into the wall from one part of the building then plug it in to a plug near where I work at another part of the building so my iphone can connect to it. I've never had a problem with this but I came in today and found that the adapter now has a data cable that plugs in to another part of the wall when it didn't have that before and now when I try to connect to it in my office it comes up on avaliable Wi-Fi networks but it doesn't connect I just keep getting the spinning circle as if it's loading or trying to connect but never does actually connect. Yet when I plug it back in to its original place in the building it connects fine as if it only works in that part of the building? I don't know much about the Wi-Fi or anything like that but all the lights on the adapter are lighting up and it's a TP-link AV500 if that helps, thanks anyone in advance. Also I already tired forgetting the network then trying to connect to it again but that didn't work either

Its not even the Wi-Fi. They found a rogue access point in their network and that would have been urs. All they did was enable filtering on it to protect their network for intrusion due to weak network protection on your end. Which usually is a very good reason to terminate your employment. I'd suggest qui trying to bring in your own and instead ask if you can connect to theirs

Do you have permission to connect your phone to the company's network?

Have you talked to the company's IT people about the problem you are having?

If the answer to the first question is NO, then you are probably contravening the IT policy by potentially exposing the company's network to whatever infections may be lurking on your phone. You might also be potentially guilty in their eyes of industrial espionage. Make sure your resumé is up to date excluding the fact that you connected your personal phone to the company's network without permission.

If the answer to the first question is YES and the answer to the second is NO, why have you not talked to the IT people?

They blocked you.

Maybe a password thing of the WPS.
