Can tariffs be applied to foreign manufactured products marketed by American/multinational companies (ex. IPhones)?

Tariffs can be applied to any imported products by any country, and usually are, depending on what trade agreements are in place.

Yes, thats why Mr Trump is trying to encourage those American-owned companies to avoid the tariffs and manufacture in the US

Foreign made means foreign made

Sure… Doubtful that will happen though…

With the road maps that they keep a secret, how far out do they usually make their decisions on what to include in products. Such as, do you think Apple already has a very good idea of what the specs will be of the iPhone that's announced in September of next year or even the following year?
  • Using your iphone in a foreign country, contract or bill? I live in England and am going on holiday to Crete, Greece. If i use my minutes, texts and data whilst i'm over there will it count as my contract or will it make me pay extra, if so, how much are texts likely to be?

  • ITunes abroad? Will foreign gift cards work? I live in the uk and I'm soon going to get a iPhone 5, but in a few years I may live abroad, I'm not sure if I could still use the phone properly, how would you change the Siri, is it possible to change the country in the settings but keep the language in English so I would still understand the home screen, can you still download English movies? If I somehow changed the country in settings would iTunes then allow me to use a gift card which is from the different country.
