Can the money from your iTunes cards be used toward purchasing fantasy coins on iPhone apps?

I'm having fun playing games on my iPhone but need more fantasy coins to keep going. Can iTunes gift cards work towards making purchases there?

Nope. ITunes gift cards are for iTunes purchases only.

In-app purchases are iTunes purchases. So if you have money in your iTunes wallet and do an in-app purchase, the money in the wallet will be used first before drawing funds from your bank account.
