Can two devices be synced on the same computer?
My sister has this old iPod that she wants the songs synced up to her iPhone, and I don't know how to use her computer so I'll use mine. The thing is, my iPhone is already synced to it… However, if it is a different user account (computer account, not iTunes) what will happen? Can I sync it?
Yes, i think so.
More than one device can be synced on the same computer, regardless of whether you have different or the same Windows User Account.
Now, here's where it gets kind of complicated.
If it's separate -where both of you have separate iTunes libraries made possible by Windows User Account- you can simply do a drag-and-drop transfer. Create a user-shared folder -a folder that can be accessed and modified from you and your sister's user account- and drag the songs your sister wants from your iTunes window to that folder.
You can't directly sync your sister's iPhone with your iTunes; you have to use the method that I gave you or another. Otherwise, this would result having your sister's iPhone's data being overwritten and her data being lost. Even if you change the way things are synced to her iPhone, the data that's not present in your iTunes will be the data that's deleted from her iPhone.
- Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
- Two devices with the same Apple ID? Okay, so my dad FINALLY gave me a ipod, since i'm to 'young' to have a phone. He owns a iPhone and i have the newest version of the iPod Touch. We use the same account and i wanted to know if the apps i download will download to his phone. And if i start using facetime and iMessage, if its going to send it to his phone as well? I added another email address (MINE) for the iMessage and Facetime, would that change anything? please anwser
- My iphone is synced to two ITunes libraries? So I'm trying to add music to my phone, but when I hit apply it tells me that I can't unless I want to erase my iphone. So I back it up right? Then hit sync and that it may erase, then come back and restore latest back up Correct? Please explain in the easiest way possible!
