Can you fix a iphone 4s with water damage?
I did the rice trick but nothing so is their another way to fix it or a place where they can fix it and how much $$$ with it cost
The best thing to do if an electronic device gets wet it to turn it off and leave it to dry for a day or two, given that none of the hardware is damaged… But as for your main question… No idea: D!
The rice trick is actually extremely bad. Does it work - yes. Problem is that if water can get in (which it obviously did), then rice dust can get in. And what does rice do when it gets wet (especially in a warm enclosed space?) - it molds. You need to take it to a cell phone repair depot (every notable town has one or two - just ask other electronics stores for who they would recommend), and make sure you tell them you did the rice trick. If they swab it out early enough, no problems.
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- How to fix water damage on Iphone 5? I know it will probably still be screwed but any tips other then just rice? I have insurance on it so I'll probably get a new one but the deductible is $180.
