Can you activate a Sprint iPhone to Virgin Mobile?

A while back my dad bought an iphone from sprint and he didn't like it. But now hes giving it to me but he said i have to pay for it. I can't pay 60$ a month so i was thinking of putting it on virgin mobile. I just wanna know if you can do that. I think you can but i want to make sure before i go to the store. Also i can't find the answer online.

You can try

Might not be able too

It has to be unlocked. Try to put someone else's sim card in the phone that isn't sprint. If you can make calls then it is unlocked. You could borrow a sim card from a friend just make sure it's not a sprint sim.

Unfortunately I think the only way to unlocked a lock phone is to go to sprint but they wouldn't want to unlock a phone for obvious reasons. They want you to use their service.

Yes, you can use a Sprint iPhone on Virgin but only if you can get it flashed. Virgin has their own iPhone now so they won't help you get it flashed on their network as they want you to use their phone only. But there are services available online where you can get your phone flashed to different network for a certain fee. If you're interested, you might contact this guy (arghyle@rocketmail.com) who unlocks and flashes phones to different networks.
