Can you buy a cricket Iphone 5 and unlock it to work on other network?
Is it possible to buy an Iphone 5 from Cricket with no contract, and then unlock it to work on other networks like T-mobile, att, or Verizon?
No. Cricket is a CDMA network, so that phone can't be unlocked; there's nothing to unlock. The only carrier of those three it might work with would be Verizon, but I doubt you'd be able to do it.

Yes you can, iphone 5 is considered one of the real first world-phones having both gsm and cdma technology, ththing is that you have to wait until hackers and unlockers get their hands on it, if you search on youtube iphone 5 verizon sim you will see that if you connect your iphone 5 to itunes and do a restore the new software automaticly unlocks your phone and the verizon iphones can then accept att sim cards, other post say that the verizon iphone 5's already come unlocked, in youtube there's a stoy about a guy buying and iphone 5 from cricket, going to the apple store and have no support at all (his issue was no Wi-Fi or bluetooth working) cricket told him to send it back and get a reimbursement or to wait about a month to get a replacement, so make sure you know the inconveniences on buying an iphone 5 from cricket
