Can you call the emergency services with no signal?
I have an iphone and there's a button where you can call emergency numbers like 999. Can I do this with no signal?
I live one street away from the coast and signal is very bad but was wondering If there was ever a time I neede to call 999 could I?
Yes, 999 calls will pick up other network signals to make the call
You need signal but you can use networks other than your own for emergency calls that's what it means when you have no signal but it says "emergency calls only"
Yes - emergency calls allow phones to roam onto other networks which are otherwise locked to you.
- You can't depend on your iPhone in an emergency? I told Siri "I've fallen and I can't get up." She said, "Well I suppose you have." Go with LifeAlert which takes you SERIOUSLY if you break a hip!
- When I go on a bike ride or just walk around, my phone screen turns on for some reason and starts dialing numbers in the Emergency Call? Also it has locked me out of my phone for putting in the wrong passcode numerous times. Is there an answer to fix this? I have an iPhone 6S
- What happens when you press Emergency call on your IPhone 4S? So when my phone is locked, it says "Emergency call" underneath the 7. I have pressed it many times on accident. And when I do, it gives me a dial pad and says "emergency call" in like five different languages. So it doesn't call anybody unless you dial a number. So what would happen if I called someone and it wasn't an emergency? Like my parents or something? Would it go into like a regular call or will it connect to the emergency response too?
- What happens on the IPhone 4 when you hit emergency call at lock screen? I'm asking specifically for the iPhone 4 if you don't know then please don't make something up I REA that it prompts a screen for you to place a call and I've also read that is automatically starts calling 911 which is true
