Can you fix an old iPhone 6 that's been submerged in water a while back?

So I found my dads old iPhone 6 and I know it's probably impossible, but I want to try and fix it. I tried to turn it on and it won't. Any tips?

Throw it out

It is probably not going to work no matter what you do,
but you could take it to a phone repair specialist and have it examined.

Don't expect good news.

Nope! You can't, sorry, if anything just bring it to apple.

Not very likely.

Once water has gotten inside an electronic device, it can cause short circuits and fry some of the components. Even with the proper equipment, it's difficult to determine which of the 1000s of tiny components on the board have been damaged, so you'd generally have to replace the entire insides of the phone -- meaning you basically just bought a new phone, but paid more for this old one than if you just bought a newer model.

  • My iphone 5 got fully submerged in water So I was swimming with my friend in our lake and my iPhone 5 was in my pocket. And I jumped in. We swam for about 5 minutes. When we came back. Well, you know the rest. Now, I let it dry and plugged it in. Came on, no water damage on screen. Looked fine. But shut off shortly after. Is this recoverable? If so, how?
  • Is it possible to fix an iphone 4s which have been submerged into water? I dropped my Iphone 4s into the toilet bowl recently. I did quickly fished it out in less than 5 seconds but i tried to test and use it for a while and a few minutes later it shut down on its own. The next morning i send it for repair. It has been 4 days since i send it for repair. Is it possible to save it? I'm really worried, if you send it for water repair does it usually take so long?
  • Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
  • I've been so fustrated with trying to get my old iCloud account off my old iPhone I forgot the password and recovery key to my iCloud account. I've called Apple and sent a receipt for proof of purchase, but they said it's invalid, because the SN doesn't match which doesn't make sense. Is there another way to just erase everything off the phone myself?
