Yes, double tap home, slide to the left, and it locks portrait. You can't lock landscape tho.

You'd see a button with an arrow in it, tap that.
A lock would appear on the button & the icon would be in the Status Bar.
Screen rotation lock is now on.
- My iPhone 5s won't rotate, it has ios 8.01, and the portrait orientation is not turned on? I want to play a racing game and I need to be able to tilt the phone in order to steer the car, but that won't work either. - My iphone 5s won't go into portrait? It will be in portrait mode on the homescreen (obviously) but once i click on some app it will just flip into landscape and it won't change… It will then randomy flip over.
