Make iPhone switch automatically between Wi-Fi and cellular?
The reason I ask is because my University's Wi-Fi is very poor in some spots, so if I'm trying to access the internet, I have to go into settings, Wi-Fi, and turn Wi-Fi off, just so I can switch to 4G so I can actually get a connection. And then I have to switch it back if I think I'm in a place with a good Wi-Fi signal.
Is there any way to do this automatically? Like when I'm connected to Wi-Fi and can't get a connection, it will automatically switch to cellular. I believe I remember hearing that at the beginning of the iPhone 5 launch it did this, but people complained about it.
All iphones already do this.
No. If it detects Wi-Fi & uses that no matter how poor the signal, only if the Wi-Fi signal is non existant will it switch back to data.
I have somewhat the same issue but that's the way all smartphones work.
- Where can I switch to from US Cellular? I really want the iphone 6 when it comes out, but i don't want to have to buy it full price because i'm not eligible for an upgrade. I was thinking about switching providers. Is there any providers that will pay off my ETFs (early termination fees) for me to switch to them FROM US CELLULAR so i can get the new iphone with the new contract price?
- When you have Wi-Fi and cellular data on at the same time, does it use cellular data? If I keep my cellular data on and also have my iPhone connected to Wi-Fi, will it use any of my cellular data?
- Is there a way I can make music on my iphone play and stop automatically? I want to set my Ipod to christmas music and put my bluetooth speaker outside but I only want it to play from 6-11pm is there a way I can get the music to automatically start playing and turn off at a certain time since most nights I won't be home to manually turn it on and off.
- Is it possible to switch an iphone to iv cellular? I'm looking to get an iPhone but I'm not set on switching my carrier. If i purchased one from eBay or somewhere is it possible to break a code or something to get it to work with a carrier that doesn't have iPhones?
