Send an imessage into a text message after it's been sent to you?
I can't find this answer anywhere, but my friend told me her phone was stolen and she's using some sprint phone. But my question is, everytime I send her a message it is still an imessage, but then after 5 min it converts to a text message. So is she doing that on purpose and didn't actually lose her phone, or is the phone just forgetting she no longer has an iphone? Stupid question but I'm just curious, thanks!
IMessage uses Wi-Fi and if it can't contact the other phone within a short time it will send it as a text message automatically. It could be that the phone is off, broken, the SIM has been removed or other factors.
It is normal for every iPhone to do that so don't worry.
- Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. How can I send an iMessage as a text message? I have iOS 7 downloaded onto my iPhone if that helps. I've already tried to hold down the message for options but all it says is "Copy" and "More". When I tap more, it just selects the message so I can resend it. Nothing's working!

- Iphone imessage sent as a text message? When I sent someone with an iphone an imessage it was sent as a text message. Is there any chance they will not receive the message?
