Can you switch iPhone 4S to iPhone 5 by transferring the plan?
I currently have a iPhone 4S which is on my family plan. I want to get an iPhone 5 but do not want to get new carrier, number, etc. I just want to transfer my 4S to the 5. My 4S is still working and all, I just want the 5. Would that be possible or do I have to get a new plan for it?
Yes it is possible just buy an iPhone 5 that is for your carrier and take it to your carrier to activate on your line.
Why would you think you'd need a new plan? People transfer their accounts to new phones all the time.
- Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?

So I was watching a video and this guy mentioned that if you switch your network to Verizon you can get a variety of phones including the iPhone 4. I want to check if this is true because i have an iPod 4th Gen but it's so destroyed. (cracked screen and jammed power button) My mom says that if I find out that this is true she'll switch from Cricket to Verizon and give me that iPhone.
