Can you unlock a Sprint iPhone 5? - 1
I heard Sprint has a policy that they won't unlock iPhone for other USA Carriers but only for International usage. Is there a possible way around this? I heard this does the trick http://www.aio-sim.com/ but don't know if there's a limit for such thing.
Added (1). I need it to work with a AT&T carrier now since I switched over.
Added (2). I read there policy, its only international usage but you have to have the phone for 90 days and no bill due. Also I guess it won't work since Sprint is a CDMA while AT&T is a GSM
I haven't tried unlocking a Sprint phone, but I've heard of Sprint unlocking their phones for US carriers for people.
Have you just heard this or actually contacted Sprint? I've requested unlock codes from my carrier before without issue.
You can get the Sprint iPhone 5 factory unlocked but you've to spend money, Sprint would've unlocked your phone for free for International use. Sprint iPhone 5 is both CDMA and GSM capable so you can get it unlocked. Check online for factory unlocking the Sprint iPhone 5.
Some Iphones 5's are CDMA and some are GSM, but a few are dual mode having both circuity for cdma & gsm. So only if you have a dual mode iPhone 5 could you get it unlocked and used on AT&T.
