Can you use iCloud to reduce usage on iPhone?
Essentially I have a 16gb iphone with minimal space left and am looking at ways to reduce the usage to fit more on. It says on my usage that iCloud has 5gb of 5gb free? If I were to use that 5gb would it free up space of the 16gb?
To do this you need to back up your iPhone to iCloud, you can do this by going to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup and tap "Back Up Now".
After this is done, you can free up space on your iPhone, but only by deleting Apps, Music, Videos and/or Books. Don't worry about deleting things as they are completely free to download again, as iTunes, the App Store etc.keep a record of your purchases.
You can also do the exact same process with iTunes, by plugging your iPhone into your PC/Mac and backing it up to iTunes, then deleting the media you don't want.
- Will i reduce my iphone's battery life? If i never turn my iphone 4s off and only put it on sleep even throughout the night when it is charging forever and never turn it off, will it eventually make the battery not last as long? What about on my macbook pro?
- What to do if you forgot you iphone passcode and you didn't even put your iCloud account in? When i first got my iphone i set the passcode as 000000 but I somehow typed too fast and hit something else and i did it TWICE. I didn't even get a chance to log in my apple id account. I don't know what to do.
- Under settings on my iPhone, does the data usage include Wi-Fi usage? Because its stating a ridiculous amount and I've had my data off… And my Wi-Fi on. Does the total of data include the amount of Internet I'm using when on Wi-Fi? I'm so confused
- IPhone: settings cell usage vs AT&T's data usage number? AT&T has a number, by calling it will send you a text message telling you how much usage you have used on your data. But also in the iPhone there's a cellular usage count in the settings app which also tells how much data you have used. Both of my cellular usage counts are different. Which is right?
