Can't restore My iPhone 4 from iPhone 3GS backup?
Today my girlfriend got an iPhone 4 after her 3GS broke. She brought it home and went to register/set it up. We go to do the restore from back up and nothing happens. We wait for 15+ minutes for it to happen and all it does is make us do it all over again.
What is going on and why isn't it working?

- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?
- WHATSAPP BACKUP! Why can't i find the backup conversation button in chat settings? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I originally synced my dads iphone (business phone) with my macbook pro and we now have an imac and i need to update the phone on this computer (iMac) to ios 6. I did the backup and then i clicked update but it said "it will erase all data when you update'. If i click continue after the update can i restore the phone from the backup? If so how do i do this? It is crucial that i do this right because i can't loose my dads business info and contacts.
