Car has no Aux or Tape player
I need to be able to plug in both my droid and my iPhone to listen to pandora and audible.com for my story books. What is there I can buy besides a brand new in dash stereo system thingy?
Buy a new stereo
Is it 2 12V plugs that you need? WalMart or any truck stop and maybe auto parts stores have adapters that will let you plug the adapter in and with two or three receptacles. If this is not your problem take your electronics to a Radio Shack and they will sell you the adapters necessary to accomplish your task.
You can get an FM transmitter for under $50. Or you can get a new stereo for $100 or less from crutchfield, best buy or walmart that are pandora compatible with iphones.
Your best option would be to get a dash mount for your iPod that plgs into your cigarette lighter that has an FM transmitter built into it. Tune your radio to the same frequency as your iPod mount and you'll be able to hear it. This is not an ideal setup as the transmitter is prone to pick up some interference. Also, when selecting a frequency for the transmitter, you want to select one that doesn't have a radio station broadcasting on it… Which may be quite difficult if you live in or near a large city.
There are adapters made that connect into the factory radio harness that will allow for an Aux input but you'll need professional installation for this.
The best way its to buy an auxiliary input adapter for your car stereo, this is not universal and not an FM adapter stay away fromt he transmitters, they don't work

in the worse case you can use this Bluetooth for android

- Why won't my AUX cable work in my car after iOS 6 update? Ever since I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 6, I have been unable to play music in my car (Kia Soul) with the AUX cable. I know of people who have experienced this same problem too. Anybody know what happened and how I can fix it? Much appreciated.
- Why does my 2010 car not have an aux port? I have a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado truck. It doesn't have an auxiliary port to plug my iPhone into, and it frustrates me because I hate having to make CDs.
- What is a good tape cassette iphone adapter for my car? So I recently received my first car and I want to be able to play my music on my iphone. I know they have these tape adapters, but I'm just wondering what is a relatively cheap/good one to get.
