Change region format on iPhone 5S - setting not responding?

My iPhone was bought in Hong Kong so some of the settings were in Chinese when I got it but I was able to change the language by going to Settings>General>International>Language. But when I realised the apps were still in Chinese (app store and iTunes store) I tried pushing the region format option which worked for everyone I know who has an iPhone - and it didn't work.

Any ideas?

  • Will using an iPhone work in my region vs AT&T? I live in a region where cellular phone-technology is very sparse. Only AT&T has signal-strength enough to make & receive cell phone calls in regions in my neighborhood. Because of this, I use a Windows Touchpad as my only connection to the outside-world. How do either of the APPLE units connect? - Do any of the ipads / iphones /ietc devices connect using different signals (via direct sattelite connection) vs.local Towers?
  • This app is currently not available in your country or region. How long before it is? There's this awesome app for the iPhone app called "AutoTube", which is a YouTube player but many times better. I accidentally removed it and tried to reinstall it, but now the App Store is saying that "this app is currently not available in your country or region." By "currently", do they mean it'll come back in time, and if so, how long will it take?
  • Just updated the IOS 6 on my iphone 4. Where do I change the text messaging format? I had to do a system reset on my phone. Lost everything now struggling with the new OS6 to find things. The messages come up with the message on my screen, instead of just the senders name. I can't find where to change this. Anyone help?
  • Is Tata Docomo (Mumbai region) sim card works in Iphone 5s? Today I'm ordered Iphone 5s online but I had heard that Iphone 5s need nano Sim card. So if I'm cut my current Sim and make it nano Sim so it works in my Iphone?
