Cheapest way to go on getting an iphone 5c with no contract?

I want an iphone 5c for my birthday but I told my mom I would pay half… I'm trying to find a cheap one like $340 or less… My upgrade is in February and I don't want to wait that long

Buying any type of phone from a carrier without a contract will cost you at least double, if not triple, the price of the phone with a contract. Your best bet is to look on eBay for a "factory unlocked" iPhone 5c, or look on eBay for one that's designated for your carrier, but with no contract.

I currently have virgin mobile- they have the 5c but it's expensive- HOWEVER the monthly bill is only $35 with unlimited text, data and 300 minutes of talk! That's really cheap! So you'll save the money you spend on the phone in no time. Check it out- they have all the new phones but no contracts so update whenever you want and you don't have to pay each month (the phone part won't work if you don't)

How about $405 for a 16GB one? But you'll then get a $55 credit if you sign up, thus bringing the price down to $350. When I bought my 5S from them, they weren't offering that $55 deal. My monthly plan costs me only $33 though (300 min. Voice but that's more than I ever come close to using, and "unlimited" text and data -- the data rate gets throttled after the first 2.5GB but that's plenty for my needs.)

First off the iPhone6 is out in October so you're in luck.

Keep a keen eye for liquidation specials. Call your carrier and see if you can't get a deal from them. Call more than once, eventually someone will cave in. If not this month, next month they will get desperate. Try the 5S cause the 5C is not a 64bit phone. The iPhone6 will be 64bit. Meaning your 5S will be around longer and you'll be happier with the performance.
