Colombian red tail boa care?

So I went to a reptile expo not planning to come home with anything, and I actually did. I brought money in case I found something I had to have and I've been wanting a boa for a while. I actually thought if I was to buy something I would buy a female spider ball python, because I have 6 ball pythons and I need to buy some more females for future breeding. But A friend of mine was there and he was helping out at a booth at the expo so I went and talked to them and ended up getting a pair of 100% het albinos. I've never had boas before but I used my iPhone and googled how to care for them, and the guy I bought them from said care was similar to ball pythons, they're just going to get quite a lot bigger. I set them up in their enclosures, and the heat pad is on and has been for a few hours so I assume it's warmed up by now, but neither of them will go in their hides and lay on the heat pad and I'm worried they're cold. I tried showing the hide but they came back out.

I don't own any boas, but I've heard tell that they don't hide as often as balls do. I've heard that they're much more frequently out and about, even during the day.So, I wouldn't worry about it! Assuming they're both totally healthy, you've gotta trust that they can thermoregulate perfectly well on their own. They'll grow comfortable and start exploring in no time.

The only times my boas hide for extended periods of time are after meals and before sheds. My baby boas will be active all day and night, the adults more in the evening and night. I wouldn't be worried as long as the temps are set correctly, they will thermal regulate themselves. Best of luck, boas are awesome snakes!
