Confused on basically everything?

I have been really in need of help lately. I have wanted an iphone for such a long time, and my sister just got one and my parents said I'm not. I feel like crying since I'm not getting one. Why? Why am I being so selfish and needy? An iphone and clothes are not what is important in life. I'm starting to be jealous of my perfect friend who is pretty, nice, rich, and everyone likes her. I don't want to be jealous of anyone. I have so much and a great family, house and friends. Why don't I appreciate this? I'm trying too but it just seems like I always want more and I don't think that is what God wants. How do I appreciate everything and stop wanting more?

You grow up and stop acting like a spoiled ---kid. Be a woman. Or, a dude, or whatever it is you are… Bottom line, respectable adults don't act this way. If there's something you think you want, then work for it and buy it. I got news for you, your friend isn't rich. Her parents might be, but she has NOTHING. Be better than she is.she'll look up to you eventually for being an adult when she's still letting her folks pay for the gas in her 3-series.

get what i'm saying? And stop worrying about what god wants. That's the problem with society… No one takes responsibility for their own maturation these days. There's only you, your loved-ones and what you make of your life.

Well since you are religious, you can understand that the majority of sins come from pride because you believe you deserve more and are better than what God gave you already
it's understandable, you're a teenage girl, you want things like your friends
it's a great thing that you understand that your being selfish and i'm sure God understands your struggle
your "perfect" friend probably thinks that you're perfect too as someone who is contempt with what she has and doesn't need more material stuff to make her happy
just don't think about it anymore

Think about the suffering in other lands. Remember that you are alive without persecution, without brutality and without lack of food and water. God loves you, and He would like for you love. Love all people, and don't focus on things of the world. Think about what good you can do for others.

You know what? Your in Lent. This Lent, why don't you fast from fun things that you like to do? If you offer up your fasting for the suffering in the world, then you can help others. Think about the needy and use your life to be a holy and living sacrifice. Do not be afraid to forget things of the world.

Thank you for understanding that you need not be wanting. If the Lord is your Shepherd, then you shall not want.
