Connect iphone to my super old tv?

I want to do yoga, but I can't really do yoga if I'm too busy looking at my phone trying to learn the positions. So I thought maybe I could connect my phone to the tv. The only problem is I have an OLD tv and an old iphone. I can't find any iphone adapters that adapt to the old AV cables (you know the red, white, and yellow) they all connect to HDMI. My tv doesn't have that kind of connection. Any other way I can put it on the tv?

You should be able to do this, but it probably won't be very cost effective.
I don't know how old your "old iphone" is, but if it has the 30-pin connector that's required, here is the adapter cable that you would need - iPhone 4 or 4s for example - to HDMI:

Then you will need an HDMI to Composite converter - a passive adapter won't do the digital to analog conversion you need t go from HDMI to RCA (AV) - you need an active converter, with it's own power supply and electronics to do the D->A conversion, like this:

There are others (although this is the least expensive I found) - just search [hdmi to composite converter] to find more. But this totals about $85 + shipping just to get poor quality video. Save your shekels and get the adapter cable and a small LCD screen that needs no conversion (and there are ways of doing this wirelessly if you have wi-fi at home, too). Hope this helps… Good luck!
