Connecting a iPhone to the Mercedes Benz COMAND system?

I have a 2006 Mercedes Benz ML500 and I want to how to connect my iPhone to the telephone system in the car. I can't figure it out.

You can't do it on your 2006 unless you have the Benz phone kit and bluetooth puck installed first.

Bandit is on target here. The Bluetooth module is optional as is the wire harness to the module and the iPod interface. The command system will still reflect these options as the software exists, but the physical connections are not there.
If the wiring harness has been installed, you will still need to purchase the Bluetooth "puc" that connects to the wiring. On the "puc" there's a button that will allow you to connect to your phone. The key will be displayed on the command system during pairing.

Note if the wiring and puc are missing you are looking at nearly $1000 USD for the purchans and install.

  • Mercedes Benz W163 ('99 ML430)? Just picked up my '99 ML430 and it has been having issues with the fuel gage. After filling it up, it reads empty. Not sure why this happens, I'll give it time, but why is this happening? And each time I put in my tape that converts my music from my iPhone, it gets rejected and comes back out. Suggestions?!
