Constant suspicious activity on my Outlook email?
When i view my recent activity on my outlook email it seems like there are constantly suspicious "successful signins" in other states. Mostly in San Jose, Washington, and New York. And they are all the time, throughout the day. And I'm never getting notifications about suspicious signins from outlook, or even suspicious security challenges. I have changed my password multiple times and it continues… But nothing seems to be happening to my account, I'm wondering if this is something else?
I use the email integrated into my iphone, so my phone is signing in throughout the day on its own. Is it possible my phone's automatic sign-in has to go through some other data center somewhere, making it seem like my account is being hacked from another location multiple times a day?
Does anyone know what this could be? It's stressing me out, this is my business email with a lot of important stuff on it. I just don't know much about technology so I was hoping someone could explain what might be going on.
A basic thing to know about the tech world is the use of a good strong password. It will have 8 or more charactors and there will be upper and lower case alpha and numerics and special charactors. It is so very easy to change your password to a good one to end the problem.
I can't explain the problem, but changing your password to something strong, including a mix of numbers and upper and lower case numbers is a good start. Preferably nothing someone could associate with you like a dogs name or kids birthday or whatever.
Most email services offer something call two-factor authentication. See if you can turn that on. Then when logging in, it might send a text to your phone and require you to enter that code, or ask you a question about yourself that only you know the answer to, etc.
Are you using a VPN?
Change your password to something to strong, alphanumeric password
- SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AT MY SCHOOL BUS STOP? Everyday I've noticed a man in a black vehicle drivin past my bus stop. I thought it was normal at first, just a man going to work. Today he parked near the bus (I was watching close enough to clearly see) and he took out his green iPhone and was TAKING PHOTOS of the middle schoolers getting on the bus. I'm nervous to go there now.
