Could I buy a iPhone 5 with no plan/network carrier?

I would love to get the iPod touch 5g but it cost $300 plus tax. I could buy a new ps3 with that money lol. The iPhone 5 is jst $199 plus tax. I don't really call people like tht I text alot. I use the text free app or the messages app. So the phone feature is a waist of time for me, plus I'm always using Wi-Fi. So I don't wanna buy a grip of money every month when I don't even use the phone.

An iPhone and an iPod are completely different things. If your not going to use a SIM card slot, then get the new iPod touch 5g which I believe will be released sometime in October. But if you must, yes you can get the new iPhone 5 without a contract.

  • My iphone carrier network doesn't work Where the service bars are supposed to be it just says no service, and when i go to the carrier option i have to select it manually and then when i do, this message pops up - Restricted Network - your selected cellular network is restricted. You can choose a different network in settings. What does this mean! What do i do?
  • Is there any way with cydia or jailbreak i could unlock iPhone carrier? Please help I've tried everything and nothing seems to work illuminate my mind and help me find a solution. I really want to use this iPhone and its gathering dust in my drawer since its on a different carrier. Please Help! Thanks in advance. Any portion of information is welcomed.
  • Is it cheaper to get a new iPhone on a plan or buy it unlocked and add a cheap plan? I can either buy the phone for $250 and pay a monthly $80 plan with data for 2 years or purchase the unlocked phone $800 and pay $30 - $50 a month - I might not get data but it wouldn't be a big deal to me, I'm just trying to find a deal thats not ridiculously expensive cause I can't really afford too too much right now. Which would be better?
  • If I have a iPhone 6s, could i use more than one carrier at different times? So I'm thinking about switching to Sprint. At the moment i have a iPhone 5 with a AT&T prepaid sim in it. If I get a Sprint iPhone, would i be able to switch to my prepaid one and not get in trouble? (At&t has service at my cabin, sprint does not)
