Could I get an iPhone 5 without a contract?
Like if I bought it off of the apple website do I have to get service on it or could they just order it to me and I could activate the service? Never had an iphone before that's why I'm asking.

No IPhones are only carried my major phone carriers like Verizon sprint and AT&T which all make you sign a 2 year contract… By the way the contracts arnt much for one person at most maybe 60 a month
You can buy an unlocked one direct from Apple for $699, and then get service on your own from AT&T or t-mobile or any other gsm carrier.
