Dad tried to hit me me so I tackled him down?

Father told me I should kill myself & worth nothing & all that type of stuff, started throwing chair, iphone then tried to punch me so I speared him down, was I right or wrong?

No if he tried to punch you i think it was maybe kinda warranted. But it should end there and result in an apology from both parties. You're family after all.

I hate dads like that, I have one and have often had to do similar things.

You should have blocked him or held him not hurt him.

Restraint might have been more appropriate.

You did the right thing mate, he threw a chair and than tried punching you… You should've at least made him flinch while you were on top of him and than said I didn't hit you because you're my father, remember that, then got up off the floor and went to your room

I don't think it was right what your dad did to you at all. I also think you had to protect your self from danger and abuse too. I also think that if you are od enough to move out of his house. I would move out if you you are not od enough to get a job and move out--I would talk to another older relative- and try to stay with them. Talk to your Mom- and some relatives-and let them talk to your Dad. Tell him you are sorry. And you want for you to to et along better in he future.

You were not wrong to do this because, he shouldn't told you all those hurtful things. As a parent, he should be there for you. Your dad needs some help (counselor, etc), and you have to protect yourself. No one deserves to get hurt. And you keep yourself safe. Saying prayers for you.
