Design Technology Resistant Materials?
For one of our iGCSE projects in Design RM, we need to come up with a product to help people in everyday problems. The teacher suggests to design a product for storage solutions, e.g. A book case hold your books.
It has to be relatively small, maybe 1 meter wide maximum, it does not need to be 100% original, we can take inspiration from others, or re-make a product but better, or more presentable.
Any answers welcome, please be detailed though, as it will help! Remember it does not HAVE to be storage, something else to help people's problems will do… Such as one of my ideas was to have an iPhone stand, with a cover over the screen. To be used by the pool side when timing laps, protect the phone from water.
Multi-function products definitely help in every day lives. Perhaps a chair where the back folds down to form a table like in the Apprentice, or something similar?
- Which 3D printing material should I use for an impact resistant iPhone case? I hate Otterbox cases because they expose the area on the back where the Apple logo is. I will instead engrave the Apple logo into the case and paint it shiny silver after it was printed
- What are the materials in an iPhone 3G? I received some design homework yesterday to find out what materials are in a product that we brought in (i brought my iPhone 3G) and I just had a look on the internet to try and find what materials make what part of an iPhone 3G but I couldn't find any information. I know that the touch screen is made from glass and that a few parts are made from metal and plastic but that's just from looking at it.
- Is there iphone water resistant cases that have touch if available for Iphone 6? I see many cases online that are water resistant, I'm wondering if you can use touch if with them and if there's some that you can with
- Is the iphone 6 screen scratch resistant from rough napkins? Can paper towel and slightly rough napkins like the ones from mc donalds scratch iphone 6 screen? My friend accidentally spilled some sauce on my phone so i had to clean with the rough mc donalds napkins and some paper towel since that's all i had at the moment. Found a few scratches on the screen after but i wasn't sure if it were from before or from the napkins/paper towel.
