Did I break my IPhone 5 screen?

So I was replacing the home button on my IPhone 5. ( I have replaced home buttons before so I was confident that I could do it. But when I used the suction cup to remove the screen it just yanked back I continued to replace the homebutton as I thought it was ok. But when I hooked everything back on I noticed the screen wasn't coming on. But you can hear my notifications coming through. But the screen is black. So what did I do everything on the inside looks ok. Is there a video or something that addresses this issue. I'm freaking out cause I just paid $140 to have the screen fixed back in november.

It's quite possible the ribbon connecting the screen to the logic board has come loose, connecting it back would fix it. If you've caused damage to it then you would need to replace the screen
