Did iphone mess up with the new headphone jack?
Just want to see other opinions.
Definitely
There's no jack
I don't think it was a mistake at all. 1: Design-wise, removing the headphone jack, which had only one reason to exist, knocked an item off the parts list, allowed for a slimmer design with a tiny bit more interior space, and made the phone easier to waterproof. 2: Reality-wise, the number of people who use non-Apple wired earphones/headphones is probably surprisingly small, even if I'm in that group. Notice that Apple included an adapter with iPhone 7, and didn't bother with iPhone 8.
The only time I ever use wired headphones (rather than Bluetooth) is on a plane when I use my noise-cancelling earbuds.
I'm fine with using an adapter for those. A water-resistant phone is a massive improvement & the headphone socket a trivial loss.
RIP iPhone headphone jack, you will be missed. As far as Apple is concerned, the headphone jack is extinct… To rub salt in our wounds, Apple won't even ship the Lightning-to-3.5mm audio jack dongle with its new 2018 iPhones, like it did with iPhones in previous years. Instead, you can buy the dongle separately for $9.
- What is the little hole besides the headphone jack on the iphone 4? Okay i have heard people with att that has an iphone say that if they stick a pin in the hole that a dim card tray will pop out. But my iphone is with sprint so i thought they didn't have sim cards so what will happen if i hit the button. * i'm not trolling this is my first time having anything from apple i'm a android person. * please no smart remarks!
- Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
