Do bigger TV's have lower pixel density?

I have read a lot of articles regarding smartphones that talk about pixels per inch and resolution. These articles infer that the bigger the screen the more resolution. For example the iPhone 4s has a 3.5 inch display at 326ppi and a resolution of 960×640, but the iPhone 5 has the same pixel density and a slightly bigger 4" screen and the resolution was bumped up to 1136 x 640.

So if all True HDTV's have a resolution of 1920×1080p, than does that mean that bigger TV's have less PPI than smaller TV'S.

does a 50" 1920×1080p have less ppi than a 42" 1920×1080p.

You are confusing pixel count and lines of resolution.

Yes, bigger 1080p screens have less pixel density than smaller 1080p screens.

On large screen tv the dimensions of a pixel is big…
on any size tv… 1920x1080 means 1920 pixels in a line and 1080 number of lines.
code p and i represents sweeping mode… Line by line or every other line.

  • White pixel on iPhone 5s screen? I've noticed that there's a dead pixel on my screen that only appears against a white background. For example, I can see it when I'm texting someone (it's right next to their display name) What can I do?
  • What does one pixel look like on an iPhone 5s (or 5)? So the iPhone has a pretty good screen and in curious… How large is one little pixel on the iPhone screen? What does one white pixel look like on a black background? What does a black pixel look like on a white background? Can anyone find a picture of one pixel or maybe a video to stop my curiosity about pixel density! No comments on my strangeness I'm curious about technology!
  • Pixel Gun 3D - Block World Pocket Survival Shooter hack or cheat? Welcome I wish to get working Pixel Gun 3D - Block World Pocket Survival Shooter cheats… I want to hack my iPhone5 My phone is not jailbroken so it'd be amazing if anyone was able to help with it
  • IPhone 6s or Google Pixel? Or another? Been looking into getting a new phone and, from what I see, I can get a 32GB 6s for the same price as 128GB Google Pixel. My budget is £30 per month. So, any info, or other phones to check out. I have had iOS and Android phones in the past, most recently I experimented with Windows (bad idea), so I would like to stick to iOS or Android, preferably Samsung, because they look very good and professional, as do iPhones. EDIT: The £30 per month also includes insurance.
