Do I have to buy the next at full price if I get it on the same contract?
A few months ago my iPhone 5 got stolen and I want to buy the next one for the same $199 price on the same two-year contract on Sprint. I have been saving and I have $260 saved towards it but someone told me I will have to buy the phone at full price ($649). He said I can buy the new phone for $199 when the 2 years are up but I do not want to wait that long. Can I buy the next iPhone for the same $199 price on the same two-year contract?

The $199 price is only for
1. New contracts
2. Upgrades (which happen at the end of a contract)
You'd have to cancel your phone contract and start a new one to get the $199 price (but there's an early termination fee of around $300, and then you have to re-pay the activation fee for the new contract, so it ends up costing the same)
No sorry you would just have to wait till your contract expires otherwise you would have to pay full price for the phone
Buy out of your contract than get another one. Not sure how much it is but it's probably cheaper than buying a brand new iphone 5.
- Why do we have to pay full price to replace a lost sprint iphone? My bestfriend is on a plan with her boyfriend and she lost the phone. Today she had to pay 728 to get a new one. I know that sprint does not cover lost phones but why can't we pay regular price to replace the lost ones
- Why do I have to pay full price for T- Mobile iPhone 5? Ok so I went to the tmobile store to upgrade my old basic phone for the new iPhone 5 16gb and the rep told me that I had to pay the full cost ($579, i believe). On the ad it shows $99 for the 16gb! The plan I have right now is the Shared Classic Unlimited-Talk + Text, so I don't know if the plan is the problem or what? I also have no data added. Maybe that's why. - Should I buy an iPhone on a plan or should I pay for the full price upfront? What are pros and cons? To be honest I want to pay for it upfront because buying it on a plan feels like I'm just renting it. I want to feel like I actually own the phone. But everyone in my family is on a plan and they say it's cheaper because they get free texts and stuff. I don't know what to do? I know, first world problems but please help me. Plan or upfront?
