Do i look how i look in iphone cameras or professional photos with a good camera or the mirror? - 1
Yes.
The mirror is a flipped version of yourself so when you take a picture with the iphone camera, the picture is how you actually look
Yes.
Mirrors always show you reversed left-to-right, as you will find out if you hold up a newspaper to a mirror.
Any camera in a phone has a wide-angle lens, which shows your nose much too big, and your face rather rounded compared with how people see you. If you use any camera from at least 6 feet from your face (and thus have to zoom in) your face will appear as others see you with their eyes. Professionals always have the camera at least 6 feet from the face when doing formal portraiture.
Consider this, a mirror shows an inverse or reversed appearance of your image; the right side appears on your left side; try reading a newspaper image from a mirror and you'll understand.
A cell 'phone camera can and often does distort facial features, making the nose, cheeks, chin and eyebrow ridge larger or seem pulled forward and the rest of your head smaller if you stand too close to the extremely wide angle lens; you would need to stand anywhere from 5 to 6 feet away to negate the wide angle perspective (or wide angle distortion). A professional photographer's responsibility is to make you look at your best… But… Are you at your "best" every single day?
But, isn't it curious how your family and friends can recognize YOU in images taken from a cell 'phone or "good" camera, even when you're not at your "best"?
1) iPhone cameras have a wide angle lens. Not the best for quality photos.
2) Mirrors add a strange look in my opinion. I dislike them immensely.
3) >>>>Even a basic good camera will take a much better photo. <<<<<
I shoot portraits with an 50-85mm lens to make the face look better.
I can take one of myself with a cheap remote (or someone else to snap pic)
And the picture could then be corrected and cropped.
This would give you the most flattering picture of yourself.
Really? Hold up a book with the text facing the mirror and see if it looks like it does when you read it! Have you ever taken a picture of a friend with an iPhone? I guess common sense escapes you!
- Why does my face look longer in my iphone camera than in the mirror? I know that the mirror is a flip of what I "really" look like, but why does my iphone camera make my face look long? Whenever I ask people what face shape I have, they usually say round. Buy when I look at myself on my iphone I see an ugly oval. Help! Here are some pictures of me: iice.tumblr.com/tagged/me
- Why do I look ugly in my camera, but not in the mirror? Whenever I look into my iPhone camera I look extremely pale, my zits look extremely red, and my eyes just appear "brown" but when I look into the mirror I look a little tan, and my zits look very small and not that big of a deal, and my eyes appear more greenish and hazel. And no there's no lighting of the room when I'm looking into the mirror it's just natural light. Is it just the camera that makes me look ugly? Or is my mirror wrong and my Cameras right? :/
- Why do I look more unnatractive on iphone camera than the mirror? I was looking at myself in the mirror and than I looked at myself in the iPhone camera and I looked prettier in the mirror than on the iPhone camera/front camera Does anyone else feel this way
- Why do I look good in the mirror but not on camera? I think I look good in the mirror but once I take a picture on my iPhone 4S (8 megapixel camera) I look worse why is this?
