Do iMessages show up as texts?
So my parents are really strict, and don't want me going over 1, 000 texts a month so that I can 'focus more on school'. Anyways we have an unlimited plan, they just check the bill every month to make sure I don't go over 1, 000. Considering I'm a teenager that's really difficult. I text like the same 3 people everyday (all 3 have iPhones) and I'm pretty sure we've sent thousands and thousands of messages to eachother.
Since its iPhone to iPhone, will they show up as like a million texts? Or data? Please let me know. I went overboard with my texting this month and I don't want to get in trouble!
IMessage uses internet and doesn't cost any money. So don't worry…
No.iMessage is only through iMessage, regardless if it's sent via data.
No, imsg will not show as a text. If the screen turns that blue tint then those are imsgs and will never even show. (Imsgs are great by the way, it allows me to use a cheap text plan without having others install apps for it).
- Will iMessages sent on an iPhone using Wi-Fi show up on the phone bill? I use an iPhone and text other iPhones, iPods, and iPads on Wi-Fi using iMessage. Will these show up on the phone bill? Or are they separate, since they are sent on Wi-Fi? And when I don't send them on Wi-Fi, would those use up data/show up on the bill?
- Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
- Why does my iPhone sometimes send texts to other iPhones as iMessages then regular texts to iPhones? Like when I send a text to my friend that has an iphone, it usually sends as an iMessage then it will randomly send as just a regular text and it will be green and not blue.
- Why do my imessages always send as texts? It's not for everyone, just one person. Every time I try to send a text to that person, it's blue for a little bit, then later turns green, sent as a text. And I text other people all the time that have iphones and those messages are always blue. Why does this happen? I doubt their phone is always off or anything like that.
